A highlight of day one was the pilot ‘World Café’ co-creation session, where participants explored the many dimensions of underutilised wood. In rotating groups, participants dove into the technical, economic, social, environmental, political and legal aspects of underutilised wood. On Wednesday and Thursday, four in-depth sessions gave partners the chance to work together on concrete actions to meet deliverables and milestones. The atmosphere was one of openness and creativity.
To foster creativity, a hands-on video storytelling workshop taught the WoodStock partners practical skills for smartphone filming. From framing and composition to sound and lighting, the workshop was both fun and useful, helping partners to better document and share the WoodStock journey.
On day three, the team tapped into their creativity during a second co-creation session called ‘Storylines’. Each group was challenged to imagine future scenarios, spanning from 5 to 50 years, exploring how societal perspectives on the potential of underutilised wood might evolve. This exercise inspires a more forward-thinking, action-oriented, and optimistic mindset.
